Another BII explant success story. Getting a life back! @Regrann from @breezyosborne - GOODBYE DRAINS! All pathology reports are clean & to the dr's surprise, for as old as my implants were, the capsule surrounding the implant was very thin & had not attached to any muscle. Thats HUGE bc that does not always happen & recovery can be much worse. In addition to the way I've been taking care of myself emotionally, physically & the food choices, this was one of the biggest reasons why I've been able to recover so well. This does not mean I'm going to go try plank pose. I need to take a step back looking at the bigger picture. The first thing I did after getting drains removed was try on old bras I could never wear anymore bc of the way it worsened my right shoulder impingement. I have never been so excited to have zero boobs. There is no compression from the bras I have tried on so far 🌟 I have also been in & out of many dr's offices, including a Neurological Optimologist, as my eyesight had changed & it was one of the last specialists to see involving the light sensitivity, silent seizures & right side body/head/eye numbness. As of day 2 post surgery I could read all of the TV guides from sitting on the couch. This might not sound like much, but it is HUGE. I can actually read what is typed out on the news. I feel like this is an entirely new beginning - chapter of my life that I am patiently, yet also eagerly, waiting to see what the next day brings. Every day there is a new aha-moment, a new finding. As much hard work as I have put into finding out the root of my issues, the amount of stacked medical bills, the amount of sleep lost due to researching when everyone is in bed, the backlash I've experienced from dr's & acquaintances for any of my issues - it is all worth what I am feeling at this very moment. While I did choose this elective procedure at 19, I did not choose what happened bc of it. I am proud of my decision & discovery as it's opened up eyes of others that are suffering much worse. Not one body is the same yet we're inevitably going to have a reaction to a chemically-filled foreign object. Take care of you, do the extra research🙏🏽💖
