THANK you for sharing @malissa_bise: "I have only told a handful of people about me being sick for the last few months. I'm a very private person. I also did not want to be judged. But as I returned to work today after being off from surgery I was telling a co-worker what I had done and why...I realized it wasn't fair for me to not tell people. Because as I told her my story, she began to connect dots that she could have some of the same problems! I had my silicone breast implants removed last Thursday after being sick nearly a year, but at the absolute worst over the last 4 months. I had fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, dry eyes, heart palpitations, muscle weakness...just to name a few. I went from running 5ks to not being able to get out of bed. Everything else was ruled out. Medicine will tell you breast_implant_illness doesn't exist. But I'm here as living proof that it does. I'm already feeling better.
