Transaxillary breast augmentation results by Dr. Boudreault. During a transaxillary breast augmentation, an incision is placed in the hair-bearing part of the armpit to avoid incisions on the breasts. This type of augmentation is perfect for women who are hoping to conceal signs of surgery. It does, however come with some risks including an increased chance of developing capsular contraction and higher rates for revision surgery. This patient (fortunately) had neither.
